2. Story part:
The Lich King, also known as Arthas Mentil, is a legendary character in the Warcraft universe who first appeared in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. In the classic version of World of Warcraft, the Lich King is the final boss of the Icecrown Citadel raid and one of the most challenging bosses for players.
Arthas was once the prince of Lordaeron and a talented paladin, but after a series of events, he became corrupted and merged with the spirit of the Lich King, a being created by Kil’jaeden to control and manipulate the dead. The Lich King became the ruler of the Scourge, an army of undead minions that he used to further conquer and destroy the world of Azeroth.
The story of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion begins with the player entering the frozen lands of Northrend. As the players travel deep into Northend, the players learn of the Lich King, who is responsible for the undead army that threatens Azeroth. The Lich King is a powerful being who was once a paladin named Arthas Mentil. He was corrupted by the cursed sword Frostmourne and became the leader of the Scourge. The player must try to stop the Lich King and his minions before they destroy the world.
Northend is a vast, icy land full of dangers everywhere. The expansion added 10 new areas for players to explore, each with their own unique challenges and rewards. Some of the most popular areas include Icecrown, Grizzly Hills, and Sholazar Basin. In addition to these new areas, the expansion also introduced a number of new creatures and enemies, including the Scourge and the Vrykul.
One of the most memorable moments of the expansion was the assault on Icecrown Citadel, the Lich King’s stronghold. It was a challenging 10 or 25 player raid that required coordination and skill to complete. The raid was divided into several sections, each with its own set of bosses and challenges. The final boss, the Lich King, was a formidable opponent that required a well-coordinated team to defeat. The encounter was both epic and emotional, as players finally faced the creature that had been a thorn in their side throughout the game.
